Growing up in the midwest, Fall season meant apple picking and making homemade applesauce with Grandma!
I've created a healthier version that's so tasty you just might want to make a double reciepe!
8 small to medium size apples
1 1/2 cups water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup monk fruit sweetener
Peel all apples and cut into small cubes
Put all ingredients in a large pan and heat on medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
Use a potato masher to mix and mash to desired consistancy. (I prefer it a little chunky!)
Put in refrigerator if you prefer your applesauce chilled, or eat it while it's warm!
Animal Lover Pro Tip: Save apple peels and cores and give to your little critters if you have any, set outside for squirrels or bring to animal shelters/sanctuaries!
